Changes in General Management
Somfy’s organisation into two separate branches, Somfy Activities and Somfy Participations, leads the Group to reinforce and adapt its management structure.
Wilfrid Le Naour’s mission, as CEO of Somfy Participations, is to develop and increase the value of the investments of this branch.
Jean-Philippe Demael, who joined the Group in March 2008, took over the General Management of Somfy Activities in July. He was nominated President of Somfy SAS, the main operational subsidiary of the Group and will integrate the Somfy SA Management Board at the beginning of 2009.

Graduate of Polytechnique and Mines, Jean-Philippe Demaël is 41 years old. He began his career in 1993 at the Ministry of Industry and the Rhône-Alps Prefecture. Between 1996 and 1998, he was Cabinet Director for Didier Lombard, General manager of Industrial Strategy with the Minister of Economy, Finance and Industry. He then became Strategy Director of the stainless steel branch of Usinor Group working with Guy Dollé between 1998 and 2002. After that, Jean-Philippe Demaël was named General Manager of the Stainless steel tubes Business Unit and the Stainless steel automobile pole. From 2005, he was CEO of Acesita / Arcelor Mittal Stainless steel Brazil. Jean-Philippe Demaël joined Somfy Group in March and became CEO of Somfy Activities in July 2008.

An HEC graduate (a leading French business school), Wilfrid Le Naour started his career He held a key position on the general management team of AFE between 1983 and 1993. He became General Manager of Somfy in 1994, then CEO from 2000 to July 2008 before becoming CEO of Somfy Participations. Wilfrid Le Naour is Chevalier of the Legion of Honour.
