Somfy entered the digital era by launching the TaHoma® smart home box in 2010 and the first natively connected Smart & Smooth RS100 motor in 2015. Since then, the Group has been pushing the development of connected solutions around our core business activities: indoor and outdoor applications and residential access management.

What is our objective? Enrich the value proposition of our offers to support growth and make the Group a major player in digital home technologies. 
For comfort, safety, or energy savings benefits, occupants can create intelligent living scenarios and control their equipment remotely from their smartphone, tablet, or computer.

THE MOST COMPLETE CONNECTED HOME OFFER ON THE MARKET

Today, TaHoma® is the most complete Connected Home solution in Europe. Open to 20 other construction brands, it can control more than 200 ranges of equipment in five different applications—openings, access, alarm and security, lighting, terrace and garden, and energy management—and is marketed in 25 countries.

Since 2018, with our “So Open with Somfy” program, the Group has been pursuing a genuine strategy of openness and interoperability with Connected Home stakeholders. The TaHoma and Somfy Protect platforms are compatible with the world's major ecosystems providing control solutions and services such as Amazon Alexa, Google Home, and Apple HomeKit. Our systems are compatible with solutions from other major players in the housing sector such as Legrand, Schneider Electric, etc.

This reinforced, Connected Home ecosystem is reaching a new milestone in 2020 with Zigbee 3.0 interoperability.          
TaHoma® is compatible with major US lighting brands—Amazon Echo, Samsung SmartThings, Philips Hue, Leviton—as well as major ecosystems and voice assistants such as Amazon Alexa, Google Assistant, Control4, Elan, Savant, Crestron, IFTTT, and more.

With our Overkiz technology platform, Somfy connected 7,8 million devices and more than 890 700 homes at the end of 2019.

Somfy also designs “Plug & Play” connected solutions to monitor a unique universe of connected home equipment, Connexoon® and SmartLink.

In 2021, Somfy is launching the next stage with TaHoma suite, a global solution designed to simplify the sale, set-up, and management of connected devices by installers. The selling point is TaHoma switch: a centralized control system that makes it easier for users to operate their equipment. The offer includes the TaHoma Pro installation app and the dedicated Serv-e-Go maintenance tool, which will save time, increase reliability

Somfy is present within the major global technological and industrial alliances that develop IoT protocols and standards such as Zigbee, Thread, and Matter. Our active participation in their work helps them tackle the housing sector’s specific challenges, in particular energy efficiency in communications between connected equipment.
