Stehle draft agreement

The Somfy group informs that it has signed a draft agreement with the German company Stehle concerning the take-over and development of its solar protection activity.

This draft agreement will become effective as soon as legal authorisations have been obtained.

Stehle is a well-known and quality player in the solar protection motors and controls market. This acquisition will enable the Somfy group to expand its offer, particularly to Germany, Austria and Switzerland with a line of products adapted to these markets. The full year turnover is between 5 to 6 million Euros and Somfy would invest €4.5 million Euros.

Somfy is the world leader in motors and controls for openings and closures in homes and buildings. Its main markets are France which accounted for 30% of sales for the last trading year, Southern Europe (19%), Germany (14%), Northern Europe (14%) and America (11%).
