Job Description
We’re now seeking a Public Affairs Leader to lead our external engagement in Poland. If you’re passionate about sustainable innovation and experienced in public affairs, this could be your next great move.
Your Role & Impact
As our Public Affairs Leader you will serve as SOMFY’s national voice in public and regulatory affairs, working in close alignment with our European public affairs strategy. You’ll lead stakeholder engagement and help shape national policy discussions around energy efficiency, climate adaptation, smart building technologies, and sustainable renovation.
Key responsibilities include:
- Designing and leading SOMFY’s public affairs strategy in Poland, aligned with our European priorities.
- Building strong, long-term relationships with policymakers, trade associations, NGOs, and industry stakeholders.
- Representing SOMFY within professional and industry organizations.
- Monitoring and analyzing legislative and regulatory developments in areas such as energy, building construction and renovation, and climate policy.
- Drafting policy briefs, position papers, speaking points, and other advocacy materials to support our influence efforts.
- Collaborating with our Advocacy and Communications teams to amplify SOMFY’s thought leadership in energy-efficiency, climate adaptation, sustainability and smart living.
- Advising senior management on regulatory risks, opportunities, and strategic positioning.
- Contributing to corporate reputation initiatives and stakeholder engagement programs.
This role is based in Warsaw, with regular collaboration across SOMFY’s international network.
Qualifications
Your Profile
You’re a strategic thinker with political acumen, excellent communication skills, and a hands-on approach. You thrive in complex stakeholder environments and are motivated by the opportunity to influence meaningful change. We’re looking for someone with:
- A master’s degree in public policy, political science, legal or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in public affairs (gained in government, national parliament, industry bodies, companies, or public affairs agency), with deep expertise in stakeholder engagement and policy influence.
- A thorough understanding of legislative and regulatory processes, particularly in building, energy, or environmental policy.
- Outstanding communication skills in both Polish and English, including media engagement and fluency in social media.
- Experience advising senior stakeholders and developing public positioning strategies.
