Your mission as Supplier Development is to Qualify, develop and guarantee a supplier panel of meeting the Group’s need and strategy, from a technical point of view and in line with our operating requirements.

Within this scope, you will work closely with the Commodity Purchasing department to achieve this goal.

To do so, you will:

1. Ensure suppliers performance and maintain their competencies / skills
2. Develop suppliers’ competencies / skills by facilitating development programs in accordance with strategic business needs
3. Train suppliers on Somfy processes and ways of working
4. Perform new supplier qualification audits (system type) with purchasing for introduction to our Commodity supplier base
5. Support strategic supplier reviews.
6. Actively contribute to the improvement of the Supplier Development mission.
7. Support operational teams in case of escalation due to commodity suppliers issues .

Besides, you will handle some group suppliers as Nanxun portfolio SMPQL for a short time (<1 year)

It will be a temporary assignment, this position will help you to understand on Somfy way to deal with supplier claim, and create a better interaction with your internal stakeholders like production quality leaders and/or customer quality leaders and/or other functions.

Within this job,

• You are responsible of a panel of global supplier localized within Asia region.
• You are responsible of the supplier performance of your perimeter.
• You are the main interface with the supplier you are responsible for.
• You analyze and guarantee the processing of supplier claim and you are driving the problem-solving methodology following group’s standards for all issues link with your perimeters (no matter the detection place).
• You are responsible, in case of non-conformity, of the robustness of supplier’s containment.
• You built and maintain an efficient and durable relationships with supplier, encouraging collaboration and driving performance
• You are collaborating with other regions to answer group’s goals

1. You have a bachelor degree in a Technical, Manufacturing, Quality or related disciplines
2. You have more than 10 years of experience in the Purchasing Quality field and / or supplier development, ideally acquired within an international industrial company.
3. You have strong knowledge on purchasing process, strong understanding on suppliers way of working and set the link with Somfy way of working on all activities during our relationship ( from contract negotiations till mass production continuous improvement).
4. You also master the following elements:

• System, Process & Capacity Audits (ISO 9001 / IATF16949 equivalent)
• Continuous improvement tools
• Problem-solving methods
• Lean Manufacturing tools
• APQP approach
• Statistical quality tools
• Product Development Process

1. Have good knowledge on some commodities, like DC motor/Charger/Battery or Plastic or Metal or PCBA (EE components)
2. Your interpersonal skills allied with your ability to create and animate your network allow you to handle, transversally, a wide network of interlocutors with various issues and problems.
3. Pragmatic and pedagogue at heart, you know how to accompany your suppliers, raise their awareness, and train them.
4. Agile and flexible, you demonstrate a certain ability to evolve in a complex matrix environment, locally and internationally.
5. You can communicate easily with international partners and your English skills (B2+ at least) allow you to drive and contribute to global projects.
6. You are able to take a step back and take a critical look to the different situations.
7. Travel is to be expected at our Suppliers,

1. Experience works on foreign company, car industry or EMS experience is the most prefer.
2. Initiative work attitude, team-work spirit
3. Results oriented.  Logical thinking and synchronization skill are necessary
4. Has good Leadership and management experience, leading SQA/Quality/other team(>=4 HC) more than 8 years. Have experience on leading multiple functions is the most expected.
