Somfy Systems seeks a highly-organized professional to plan, organize, direct and manage the overall operations for the Retail Channel Inside Sales Team across North American facilities. This position will act as a liaison between customers, and cross-functional internal teams to ensure the timely and successful delivery of our solutions to meet our customers’ needs. Job Description

The position is responsible for research and development of new projects and updates to existing products. This includes hardware and firmware development, documentation, product validation, pre-certification testing, creating and presenting proposals and management of the project through to production. Expected to work with a team to ensure the projects are completed on-time and within budget. Travel may be required occasionally to customer's facilities to oversee implementation and help problem solve. The position will also require interaction with UL and FCC and an understanding of these standards would be required.

  • Responsible for the design, development, production, testing, and maintenance of MCU embedded systems
  • BSEE, minimum 5 years experience 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electronics Engineering
  • 5 years of related work experience
  • Expertise in data and problem analysis, creative problem solving, and design thinking
  • Up-to-date knowledge and technical skills required to design and operate our core products and services
  • Advanced skills in critical desktop applications such as Microsoft Office Suite
  • Demonstrated proficiency in written and verbal communication, including creating and delivering presentations
  • Embedded Linux OS knowledge a plus
  • Ability to interact and communicate with all levels of management.

Additional Information

Typical 8am-5pm, Monday through Friday. Travel 10%, including international.
