Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Regional Sales Manager to join our BFT North American team. This position is based in the Northeast region of the USA, with a focus on developing and expanding sales of BFT Access and Gate Automation systems for residential and commercial use. The ideal candidate should have a strong technical understanding and a proven track record in customer relations and business development, with at least 5 years of relevant experience. The Regional Sales Manager will play a crucial role in achieving our sales goals and growing our market presence.

Duties & Responsibilities: 

1. Sales Growth:

  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve or exceed sales targets for BFT Access and Gate operators in the Northeast region.
  • Identify new business opportunities and potential customers.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and new clients.

2. Technical Expertise:

  • Ideal candidates possess a deep technical understanding of Access management and/or Gate operator products to effectively communicate their features and benefits to potential customers.
  • Provide technical and application support and guidance to customers as needed.

3. Business Development:

  • Conduct market research to identify trends and potential areas for expansion.
  • Collaborate with the Access Manager and other team members to develop new business strategies and opportunities.

4. Customer Relations:

  • Ensure exceptional customer satisfaction by addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and maintaining a high level of responsiveness. 
  • Act as a trusted advisor to customers, offering solutions that best meet their needs. 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, sales, or a related field preferred.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in sales, preferably in the access control or gate operator industry.
  • Strong technical background with similar product environment and channels of distribution
  • Proven track record in customer relations and business development.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Self-motivated, results-drive, and able to work independently. 
  • Willingness to travel within the Northeast region as required. 
  • Valid driver's license. 

Additional Information

Working Environment:

  • 9-hour standard business hours (including 1 hour lunch), Monday through Friday
  • Due to the current Covid environment Somfy has developed a hybrid model. It has not been determined when or if this model will change.
  • Travel up to 40%
